I’m no longer calling the first three Effugium books a “trilogy.” I have altered the covers to reflect this. Exordium will be book 4 in the series.

What’s it about? Well, in a nutshell, it takes place on the Galenian Colony world of Baltu, a tropical paradise inhabited by religious fanatics.
The Exordium, AKA the Children of Pangu, AKA the next step in human evolution, are reviled by these fanatics, AKA The Consilium, and forced to live in the jungle. They attribute the Exo’s unusual powers to demonic possession, and have declared them an abomination.
After a young Exo girl called Tanraa, who was raised in disguise as human, witnesses the death of her mother at the hands of an angry mob, she flees to the jungle and joins a pod. The pod very quickly discovers that Tanraas abilities rival those of Pangu himself, and decide that she must ne protected at all costs.
Meanwhile, back in the sovereign city of Sanctus, a Priest named Father Xooka has dispatched an order of Crusaders from the Holy Guard to track the girl down. He knows they’re no match for her, and he’s fine with that. In fact, he’s counting on it.
Above all, it’s about the powers that be persecuting an entire race of people and trying to make them be who and what they are not.
Barring any unforeseen complications, the book should be published on Kindle by mid-November at the latest.
